We will be holding a School Council Election in the next couple of weeks because we have five nominations and four vacancies. Our nominees are Linda Groom, Justine Jansz, Pearl McMaster, Danelle Shuttleworth and Adam Swanwick. We expect ballot papers to come home with students on Friday and the closing date for polling is 4pm Monday 6th March. Ballot papers must be returned to school or posted. If parents choose to post their ballot papers please be aware they must arrive at school by the close of polling. No late papers can be accepted.
There will be a range of information included in your envelope including:
- Ballot papers
- Short statements from the candidates
- Information regarding the role of School Council
- Blank envelopes
- Named envelopesThere will be clear instructions in your envelope and parents/guardians who care for our students are eligible to vote. I am required to advise the following information to all parents:‘No campaign literature supporting candidates or groups of candidates may be distributed or posted in the school and no school resources, whether human or material, may be used to support particular candidates or groups of candidates.’We wish all candidates good luck and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact Sue Dean.
