Fortunately last week’s weather event was not as bad as predicted during school time. Our thoughts go to those in the state that were inundated and perhaps had their livelihoods threatened through crop and income loss. Thank you to all parents who supported our school in making sure all students were safe.

The Department of Education issues weather warnings to ensure all schools take appropriate precautions in their areas for their students and families. We do sometimes see tragedies during these freak weather events and it is a relief that we didn’t experience any of these given we had local road closures. Thank you to staff who went the extra mile, even walking some students home to make sure they arrived safely. At times like this we need to show care and consideration for others and work together for the benefit of our community.
